Rolling Wave Planning is led by founder and Maine resident, Steve Nelson, an experienced business leader and certified project management professional (PMP).
Steve's background in Computer Science launched a career in software development, followed by a tenure at Boston-based consulting firm, Keane, Inc. During this time, he discovered his innate skill and passion for project management. This newfound interest directed him further into business development and leadership, eventually leading him to earn an MBA from the University of Southern Maine.
In 2015, Steve completed his project management professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI). During the next period of his career from the late 2000s to the early 2020s, Steve made significant contributions to the Credit Union industry while working with Synergent. Navigating through various roles, he ultimately spearheaded the Project Management Office (PMO). His dedication to the project management field was further exemplified during his two-year presidency of the PMI-Maine Chapter.
Embracing the spirit of entrepreneurship in 2022, Steve ventured out from Synergent to pursue his long-held dream of business ownership. He is now the founder of Rolling Wave Planning, LLC, and a Schooley Mitchell office here in Scarborough, ME.
